Here are three young Japanese ladies dressed up in traditional Japanese kimonos.
You may see this from time to time in Japan because of certain ceremonies however this is, by no means the norm here in Japan.
The ceremony these young ladies are attending today is “I just turned 20 years old ceremony.”
In Japanese it’s called “Seijinshiki.” In English the right meaning is “the ceremony of Coming-of-Age”
The following link has a good article about this day.
When I asked if I could take their picture for you they were so nice and told me to take a few!
Japan is for sure my little paradise.
